Being a family owned and run business we take genuine pride in our work. Albie and Joyce Bates established the construction company Albert J. Bates Ltd in Christchurch back in 1959, Albie retired in 1987, Stephen & Neville took over managing the business and then changed the name to Bates Building Ltd in 2011. Stephen is now proud to continue the family tradition today as owner and director of Bates Build Canterbury Ltd.
